Summer Mouse

This cute mouse is my newest free pattern and will be available here all summer. It doesn’t include step-by-step photos like my paid patterns, but if you’re familiar with my style, you should have no trouble following along. A more detailed version will be available on Etsy soon!

Add safety eyes 3 inches from the top of the head (the cinched end) and 2 inches apart.

Add stuffing.

Using a length of yarn, create a drawstring around the open end. Pull the drawstring gently to close it. Tie and sew end closed to secure, hide loose ends inside the body.

Double up and cinch. Tie the yarn ends together tightly to secure them. Hide loose ends inside the leg.

Stuff the foot with a handful of stuffing, but do not stuff the leg. Fold the leg in half, lengthways.

Sew along the sides, joining both edges of the leg but do not sew the foot.

Flatten the leg so that the sewn part is in the center and sew the short edge closed (this will be the edge you join to the body).

Close the hole at the bottom of the leg with a few stitches.

Sew the legs to the underside of the body, approximately 1 inch apart, with the feet facing forwards.
